EU Delegation to Norway (Political, Press and Information Section) seeks two Advisors










The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 28 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organizations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy.

The EU Delegation to Norway ensures the representation of the European Union to Norway, as well as the follow-up of the EU's bilateral relations with Norway (including the implementation of the European Economic Area Agreement and other key EU/Norway agreements). It is responsible for the development of cooperation in key areas - focusing in particular on foreign policy, energy, climate change, the Arctic, trade, development - and also follows Norway's participation in EU programmes and agencies. It carries out public diplomacy and press activities in Norway and facilitates/organizes political and expert contacts between Norway and European Union institutions.

POLITICAL, PRESS AND INFORMATION SECTION
Two vacancies are available for Advisors (Local Agent, category II) in the Political, Press and Information Section. The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for a series of thematic/geographic policy areas within the framework of the EU's relations with Norway, under the supervision of the Head of Section. The main tasks, while not exhaustive, may include:
  • Follow closely and report on developments in Norway and the EU in relevant thematic/geographic policy areas
  • Develop and maintain a relevant network of contacts (political, governmental, academic, civil society, etc.)
  • Contribute to speeches, briefings and presentations
  • Write, edit, supervise production of brochures and printed material
  • Contribute to electronic newsletters, website and social media
  • Contribute to articles and press releases * Prepare and deliver lectures and presentations about the EU
  • Organize special events, such as seminars, exhibitions etc. and support visits
  • Reply to information requests from the press, general public etc.
  • Back-up on information technology issues and on the management of the Section's budget
REQUIRED
EDUCATION: University degree. Political science/economics/law/information-related fields/EU-related studies would be a distinct advantage
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: • Relevant work experience, particularly focusing on EU issues
  • Very good knowledge of EU institutions and policies
  • Very good knowledge of the Norwegian political life, public sector, business, civil society, press and media
  • For one of the positions an additional requirement is: Excellent knowledge of social media, web-based publishing and good IT skills.
SKILLS:
  • Strong intellectual capacity, with solid analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent language skills in Norwegian and English; good knowledge of French an asset
  • Excellent drafting skills in Norwegian and English
  • Very good communication and public-speaking skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills

The EU-Commission søker nå etter lobbyister og spioner i Norge som kan formidle viktig informasjon om vårt styresett, banksystemer o.s.v. som støette til fullt medlemskap i den nye TTIP frihandelsavtalen som har til hensikt å fjerne vårt demokrati og menneskerett,samt få kloa i vårt oljefond for å beskytte sine aksjer og investeringer mot dollaren som er på fallets rand.

TTIP ledes av The Bildeberg Group som representerer 2% av USA´s befolkning men sitter på 70% av de finansielle verdiene.
