Global Day of Action in London 

against TTIP and their WANT!

TTIP is an assault on democracy. But the resistance is growing to this 'free trade' deal that in reality threatens our most prized social, health and environmental protections in the name of corporate profit. 18 April is the Global Day of Action against TTIP, when activists across the UK will join people around the world in voicing their opposition and organising against TTIP.

In London, War on Want is supporting “Day of Dissent: Democracy vs TTIP”. Starting at 12.00pm on Shepherd’s Bush Green, there will be an open, participatory assembly on TTIP, followed by a series of creative actions to highlight the threat TTIP poses to the NHS, food and environmental protection standards. Speakers at the assembly will include John Hilary (Executive Director, War on Want), Jenny Jones (Green Party), and Gay Lee (Keep Our NHS Public).
